(Extract of the project description) Morića han was founded at the end of the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire and it served as accommodation for passengers at the time. However in the year of 1957 it burned down and by 1970. only the southern wall remained standing, creating the illusion that there was still a building behind it.
The new proposal for Morića han is converting upper floor rooms into hotel rooms. The function of a hotel would bring back character and the original purpose of Morića han, emphasizing its historical value, authenticity and ambience.
